no... my parents and people still go on my registry months after my baby shower to see what I need still or want for my son... I keep mine updated every few months

My friend just did this because she really doesnt want a shower and def does NOT want a bunch of random stuff. Shes picky and has specific tastes. But alot of people I guess were hinting or saying how they still wanted to give gifts so she made a registry and posted a link on fb. I do think its a little odd. Id throw her a party but I dont know her super well yet and she seemed serious when she said she didnt want one.

I think it’s fine as long as you don’t just send it to everyone you know lol. But if your family asks for it or something, I think that’s fine.

Why would it be weird? lol we live 3,000 miles from family so we didn’t get to have a baby shower with everyone. But we absolutely had a registry so they could all send us things.

My first 2 kids we lived far from family and didn't have close friends. (traveling for husband's job). Did baby registry and no baby shower for both and everybody loved it. We didn't expect anything but those who wanted to participate could, I had diapers on mine as well. Everything was shipped right to us. So many people inquired about what we needed and expressed their desire to purchase is why I did it. I created registries with 2 different stores, expressed that nothing is expected but surely appreciated and to feel free to purchase things that were not on registry 😊
