When did you buy maternity clothes?

I'm 7 weeks along, first pregnancy. I haven't gained any weight yet but my pants are so uncomfortable to wear. I can't barely get them buttoned most days. I wear a mid rise work pant and I feel like a stuffed sausage. Is it too early to buy maternity pants? When did you buy yours?

Pants were the first thing I bought. I didn’t need them until mid 2nd trimester, but still, it seems the pant are first to go. If you’re  uncomfy then buy them. You’ll be in the eventually regardless. I’m not even pregnant and I still wear maternity pants. Haha!

8 months and i only got 2 pair of pants, a pair of leggings, a dress and 2 shirts lol. I don’t go out much so i saw no point in buying them.

I went to ross and bought the size small for maternity pants at about 8 weeks. Everyone told me if was bloat and would go away. My ‘bloat’ never went down and only got bigger. I also wore regular leggings a size bigger with dresses to help.

I started wearing maternity pants around 18-19 weeks because my other ones were getting tight in the belly area

I got bloated at 6 weeks
Ihave been wearing stretchy yoga, athletic, elastic pants since then. Now 16 weeks and need to get a few different (longer) shirts.

3rd pregnancy in and I’ve never bought maternity. 
They seem so overpriced for an item you can literally get somewhere else but without the maternity name tag, & at half the price! 
I don’t know where you live but in the UK, Primark have some really lovely summer dresses which are so stretchy and will grow with you! I got 2 of those and another two more flowy dresses. 
At only £6 and £9, I can’t complain. 🙌🏻

I had to buy new pants at 14 weeks. I didn’t really buy many clothes I fit in most of them but did buy a few pair of pants or I just used a hair tie to hold them together😂

I never had to. I literally only gained 10 lbs, so if i had bought them it would have been a waste of money for sure. I’d say wait until you start seeing actual weight gain after like 12 weeks to decide.

It’s bloat I wouldn’t buy any pants yet. It will go down and then you’ll probably need different pants.
