Makena

I am currently pregnant with my second child. my son was born at 34 weeks. the doctor has suggested that I take the Makena shot to help prevent the preterm labor from happening again. They're not sure why I had preterm labor the first time. I'm just not very sure about putting things into my body especially while I'm pregnant. I go to the doctor tomorrow to discuss further details of the drug. I'm just wondering if anyone has completed the shots and their experiences with delivery. I've seen a lot of people have to be induced and labor was rough. not sure if that's due to the shot or not.

Update: I choose not to take the shot. The specialist said there was only a 15% chance that it would happen again. And it did happen again second son was born at 35 weeks. He was very healthy and went home from the hospital on time. I would not have changed my decision knowing what I know now.
