Breastfeeding while drinking alcohol?

I’m a new mom and don’t know anything about this topic. I want to have just one maybe two bottles of beer tonight seeing as my tolerance is gone. Is this okay? Should I pump and give my baby that for the night feedings or will it be okay coming from the breast?

alcohol metabolizes out of the milk just as is does in your blood so you never need to pump and dump because you have drank. if you are safe to care for you child you are safe to feed. if you are on Facebook look up the group evidence-based breastfeeding and join and you can read more about this and other topics you are unsure of since they are backed by actual evidence.

If you are concerned they do make strips you can dip in your milk and it will detect the presences of alcohol.  Just an idea

Breastfeed now and wait an hour per beer (plus drink a glass of water per beer) and it should be ok. If you feel buzzed/ your milk is buzzing. If you have a high tolerance- still keep the hour/glass of water rule. Dollar tree/Walmart has breast milk alcohol testing strips if you want to be on the safe side or just pump and dump

Neither. If your thinking of drinking you should consider buy alcohol strip ls to test your breast mill. if you pump and pour it in a bottle or feed your baby right off your bood either or it will still have alcohol. everything you eat drink goes into your breat milk.
