How long did you wait to TTC after getting married?

Most of my husband’s cousins had babies right away after they got married. We’ve been married for almost 2 years now. I was really worried that aunts and uncles, parents and grandparents would’ve bothered us about it by now. Thankfully, MIL understands we want to take time to be together for awhile to be ourselves before we want to try to have kids. I think it might be another 2-3 years before we consider TTC.

We are not married and not planning on soon, but we ttc after being in our relationship for +/- 4 years. 
We first dated for 2 years, then we lived together for the following 2 years, then we gave up our apartment and bought a nice family home in a child friendly neighbourhood, we made sure we had two cars, steady jobs and were financially capable to live on 1 income (we wanted to have one of us at home taking care of the kids), we also made sure we were all insured probably and most off al, because we ain’t married, all the paperwork was in order before having kids. 
Then we tried to ttc and got our beautiful little girl. Now we are expecting baby number two within a week! (41 weeks pregnant today) in total we are together for a little over 7 years. Our children will be almost two years apart. 
It’s the most wonderful thing in the world, but also the hardest. So don’t let anyone pressure you, you both have to be ready. Good luck!

I would wait at least 2 years. I want to enjoy being married without a kid first, travel, experience more stuff.

first marriage at 20 my son was 10 months old...second marriage at 31 I was 15 weeks pregnant

We started when we got married because hubby is 36. He’ll be 37 after baby is born. If he was closer to 30 I’d give it a couple years

We started 6 months after getting married but only because of Zika. I would’ve waited years if I could!! I got married at 38 years old so that wasn’t an option. Take your time! Settle into married life. Travel and have fun and when the time is right if you want kids you can try.

We started a little before we got married bc it was a month or so away, but didn't actually conceive till our honeymoon the next month lol
