BD on ovulation day

Has any one who’s having trouble getting pregnant, BD the night before a positive opk and not BD on ovulation day still get pregnant? We used preseed. I understand sperm can live up to five days but I thought they got weaker the next day and we’ve been trying for years so I’m thinking I may have missed it.
