Chromosome test?!

I had my first appointment today, as I thought they didn’t do much. Luckily I got in for an ultrasound next week.

So to my question because I am over 35 he gave me the choice to have the chromosome test, which will test for abnormal chromosomes and gender. He said I have to be 11 weeks which I should be at the ultrasound so I should be able to get the chromosome blood work after the ultrasound. Does anybody know how long it takes to get those results?

After an ultrasound and those results I hope I can settle down on the worrying (I miscarried last October and I am worrying about ever ache and pain).
