CMV VIRUS 🚨 TRIGGER WARNING

So one of my best friends lives about 1000 miles away back home right now. She just lost her baby two weeks ago. She was 28 weeks pregnant and it was devastating.. and so hard to be so far away. They found out the reason was because of the CMV virus, and she had contracted that virus from her 2 year old son.

SO I feel horrible even thinking of myself in this tragic situation but my mommy instincts I’m sure are kicking in.. I’m moving back home in about five days and will surely be spending a lot of time with the two of them... is that wise? I tried reading online and it said that people can be contagious with this virus for MONTHS and not have symptoms... I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my first little miracle and I can’t help but be completely worried about this situation. I am in NO WAY trying to make this about me or somehow make them feel worse by maybe avoiding spending too much time with them for a month or two but if I could somehow get that virus by being around them and then something happens to my baby while my husband is deployed i would be devastated especially if it was somehow preventable knowing he had the virus.

(The disease is contracted through spit, urine, bodily fluids, etc. NOT airborne.)

But still like I said, he is two and he crawls all over me and has his drool all over his hands and my friend even drinks after me and stuff I mean we are practically like sisters. If I could somehow get it from them still then it would definitely be risky.

Anybody have any similar experience or know about the CMV virus?
