Beer to help with breastfeeding?

I’m struggling with breastfeeding and I’ve tried everything from hiring a lactation consultant, to tea, to pills and cookies but nothing has helped with supply. My doctor mentioned that she drank beer. Anyone else tried a non alcoholic beer that worked? If so, what brand.

I drank a non alcoholic beer a day after having my daughter. I could pump two 8 ounce bottles and still have enough to feed my daughter.

I've not found a non alcoholic beer that works but I can say Guinness does work.

I have heard drinking a beer helps! I’ve also heard these help: oatmeal, coconut milk, blue Gatorade, the pink drink from Starbucks, and lactation cookies

I heard brewer's yeast can help. It comes in tablet or powder form.

Also mothers milk tea does work. It just depends on how much milk you baby needs bc if he/ she isn’t nursing regularly your boobs will produce less

It doesn’t have to be non alcoholic bc the low alcohol in a beer is not going to transfer to you milk with one beer and baby will not get drunk and yes it does help bc the yeast in the beer helps you to produce more milk.

How often are you feeding? How do you know you have low supply?

Really dark beer helps and what I did was I drank one right after I nursed so by the next feed it would be out of my system

I heard that too! Someone told me they used to give out beers at hospitals to get the milk flowing. Curious to see if anyone has tried it
