Did you have an epidural?

I’m just watching TV trying to ease my “morning” sickness and was curious what other ladies have done. 😊

Ive had 6 natural and plan to go natural with this one, but always understand emergencies can happen. I hate needles and fear the epidural...but do not knock anyone who gets one. Pregnancy is hard from the beginning to the end and no matter how you choose the end your still a strong ass woman!! 💪🏻

Yes because the pitocin was kicking my a$$ I was in active labor for exactly 24 hours and wasn’t progressing past 4cm. I got the epidural was finally able to relax and literally only 30 minuets went by before I was 10cm and pushing. I honestly believe the epidural helped my labor progress more quickly.

Pregnant with my first but I don’t plan on having an epidural. I’m not a fan of needles and I’m scared something will happen and my spine will be messed up in the process. It’s sad how little support I’m receiving from friends and family with my decision 💔

Abso-freakin-lutely. Tbh I thought about not getting one with my first. I get kidney stones and a friend’s mom told me oh if you deal with those you can definitely deal with labor. Um no. Completely different feeling. Both are awful lol but just not the same kind of pain. Anyway, I gave in much earlier than I thought and I was sure glad I did  Did not question it the second time. This time I might need a c section sooo definitely will have some sort of something.

I did with my first - I was ready to push at 5cm and needed to not feel the desire to push because I found the need to push and not being allowed to extremely painful. As it so happened by the time they had done the epidural I was 10cm (but they were also prepping me for a c section so it was all very hectic, she ended up a vacuum). With my second I got to the hospital at 6cm feeling pressure, I didn't even think about an epidural because I wasn't sure there would even be time to get it before baby arrived based on my previous birth. 30 mins later she was in my arms.. I personally felt like it was an easier recovery second time round but who knows if that was epidural related or not..? :-)

I didn’t for the first and has an amazing and relaxing labour. However I did tear. 
My OB is making me have an epidural for my second so he can slow things down when crowning. I’m so nervous about it!
