Hi my baby is 6 days old today and has a serious case of nipple confusion!

We were both very poorly after an emergency c-section and her blood sugars went too low and the hospital had to feed her enriched formula in a bottle.

This happened on a few occasions and now my baby will only take a bottle and won’t latch onto my breast at all, My milk hasn’t come in yet either and she won’t put the work in to get a tiny bit of colostrum when she is used to having a full bottle.

I am pumping to try to get my milk in and so that I can at least try to give her breast milk rather then formula!

Has anyone been in a similar situation and had a good outcome/can offer this tired new mum any advice?? I have bought some nipple shields but have no idea how they work!
