super embarrassed that i even have to write this...UPDATE #3!!!

UPDATE #3... for those that were curious, my 2nd test came back negative!!! moral of the story, always trust your gut and just because your doctor says something doesn't make it 100% true! they are human too and make mistakes just like the rest of us! ORIGINAL POST.... but has anyone ever gotten a false positive on a chlamydia test? I've been married for 7 years, have never cheated. my husband says he has never cheated. and i believe him. I had a pap smear about 6 months ago that was clean. had another a week ago and my doc just called and said I was positive for chlamydia. 😣 I was shocked. was not expecting that at all. I think I'm going to ask to be retested cause I honestly have no clue how this could have happened! someone tell me this has happened to them before and it turned out the test was wrong! Update.... I'm not sure how they got the results for that because I'm pregnant so i had to give a urine sample, a regular pap, and also bloodwork at my appointment. I called the doctors office back to ask but they're going to have someone call me back with that info. UPDATE #2...... so they said they got the results from my pap smear... they seemed pretty confident with the results they got but I'm still going to get retested today. Will share results on Monday or tuesday.
