IUD in wrong??🤔

Hey guys! So I got an iud inserted on the first day of my period. The insertion was painful and I cramped the rest of the day. This was Wednesday and since then, (3 days later) I have had no issues at all. No cramps and hardly any spotting. I’m just wondering if it could be in wrong or something because of all the horror stories I’ve heard. Also im confused bc my period never actually turned into my period. Just light brown spotting/discharge.
