Do I do low weight high reps or high weight low reps?

My friends have been telling me low weight is to tone and high weight is to gain weight but I have no idea. I’m a gym newbie. I just go to the gym to do abs, jump boxes, lift the bar (I think 45 lbs? 25 bar, 10 on each side) for 4 reps(15x) and do lunges 1 rep (10 each) and end with cardio.

I just want a bigger butt someone help 😂😂
