Clear blue digital advanced ovulation test

I had been using the digital ovulation test but run out so started using the advanced one & got a flashing smiley face .
2 questions
Does it matter if I have changed over to the advanced one ?
& also the flashing smiley face do you have to have sex that day or can you do next day & does it have to be every day or every second ??
