Almost ready to ovulate DURING a period

I am going THROUGH it with the repro endo. And one of my eggs is perfect ready to drop, but my uterine lining is so thin because I have my period. Has anyone ever gone through something like this?? I’m so confused and upset. I never ovulate so this is crazy and ridiculous.
