12 DPO BFN

Been trying for 6 months now.. I felt like this was the month and I tested tonight with a first response early response 12dpo.. my period is due Sunday. Am I out or did anyone else get a negative 12 days or after and still have a positive... just looking for stories to make me feel better or give me some hope. I really thought this month I was pregnant for the first time in many months.
