Do you agree with trump lowering drug prices? (Read below)

I'm not sure if this has been talked about so if it has let me know and I will take this post down :) 
Trump will be lowering the prices of RX drugs. It will save citizens tons of money and will also bring competition. Drugs cost so much more than it does in other countries so I definitely think this is a good step into the right direction. I'm not exactly a trump fan but I do agree with this particular thing. This will take effect soon so I wanted to hear what ya'll have to say about it? Please feel free to share below!

I agree with the idea of it, but I don’t find the proposal particularly comprehensive compared to how he’s promoting it. Not to mention that, putting everything in the hands of private companies has never worked particularly well in the past. 
If in a year from now we’re all paying way less for prescriptions I’ll be happy to be proven wrong.

he still isnt allowing medicare to negotiate drug prices so I dont really expect anything to change. Pharmeceutical stocks went up yesterday which tells me the pharmeceutical companies agree with me

It may be a good thing for those who’s livelihood depend on it, but could be an impending travesty for those who abuse it.
Either way, the US needs to stop big pharmaceutical advertisements.

Of course prices should be lowered because they are outrageously high for no other reason than maximizing profit. Corporations dont care about anything but profit and are legally bound to make as much money as possible. That said trump's plan is abysmal and wont work

Yes, especially for certain needed drugs, like insulin and epi-pens.

When I took insulin during my pregnancies, WITH insurance, it would cost me $1200 out of pocket for a 90 day supply.

With how insurance premiums and deductibles are now, people literally are making choices everyday to either fill a medication they (or their child need) or eat/pay a utility bill.
