Nuva Ring, mood changes?!

Question

Hello! So I am 20 years old and have never been on BC. I decided to do the nuva ring because my cousin uses it and likes it. Me being quite the hypochondriac I am I researched the side effects. Has anybody else experienced mood changes, or "loss of emotions" ?? I read a whole web page of people who said this happened to them. I have been against birth control for a while just because I don't like the idea of modifying the way the body naturally works, so this would definitely be a deal breaker.

Nope. It's been a year and the only change is my periods are only 3 days long now! they used to be 8 days.

I've been using the nurvaring for over a year now with absolutely no side effects besides no longer having incredibly painful periods (they were so bad I couldn't get out of bed and would be physically ill). But, that doesn't mean you won't experience side effects. Everyone's body is different and different kinds of birth control work better for different people. I used to be on the pill, but experienced side effects so I tried different pills and eventually tried the ring. Some pills I took work really well with no side effects for many of my friends though.
Talk to your doctor about all the different kinds of birth control and see what would be the best option for you. And if the first one doesn't work try something else. There's so many options you can try.
