Did you tear with your 2nd

Hello ladies. I’m just wondering if you tore bad with your 2nd baby? I tore pretty bad with my first had a 3rd degree tear but it all happened so fast. I’m just worried I will tear as bad with my 2nd. Please share your stories.

I had a second degree tear with my first but I was so out of it (no epidural) that I wasn’t listening to the midwife when to stop and pant.
I only only grazed with my second because I was more in control and managed to listen to all the right commands from my midwife. (No epidural)

I had a level 4 with my first and barely a tiny tear with my 2nd (hardly noticeable) and the pushing was easier.

i had an epidural both times. i kept telling the midwives i did not want to be cut or tear! so they helped me slow down the process whilst pushing allowing my body to catch up and i didnt tear or need to be cut either times!
