Miscarriage w/ symptoms?

I had a scan @ 5w2d and my doctor told me I could be having a miscarriage since my HCG levels were over 14,000 and we couldn’t see baby. She said we should be able to see baby with those numbers. 
I just started with sore nipples and nausea to the point I vomit since that scan. But I’m not peeing as much. 
I’m 5w5d right now. Would my symptoms be getting worse if I was miscarrying? 
I’m so confused.......

Seriously? I went in when I thought I was 8 weeks with hcg at almost 20,000 and was only measuring 5 weeks. Only saw the sacs. Went back two weeks later and saw the fetal pole and heartbeat. Hcg numbers don’t mean when you will see a baby. Some women just have more than others. The big deal is if they are doubling. Did the actual dr say this or the tech?

had a scan at 5w 6d hcg of 30,000 and saw no fetal pole or anything, only gest. sac and yolk sac. 13 weeks now baby is fine and developing well

At 5w4d my hcg levels were over 17,000 & they tried to tell me it was probably a missed miscarriage. Currently going on 16w this Wednesday & our baby girl is perfectly healthy. Negative for downs, trisomy 18 & trisomy 13. I wouldn’t make any decisions before you are absolutely sure you can live with the decision. My doctor said that on the next visit we would discuss d&c; or the pill well my boyfriend & I decided we would not make a decision like that until 9 weeks unless obviously if my body miscarried on its own. Some people don’t see fetal pole or heart beat till 9 weeks & they have high HCG. I saw a woman with high HCG who was laying on a table ready for the d&c; & a Doctor came on & told her they think her doctor rushes things took her back for sonogram & baby had a heart beat & fetal pole & she also had high HCG levels. Try not to worry & like I said if you want the baby then wait to make any decisions.

could possibly be twins. they are not always discovered at 5 weeks.
