What should I do?

My bf has a 2 year old son. He doesn’t live with him. He’s 21 and I’m 19. I want to be with him but my mom doesn’t approve. He has a VERY bad temper and we’ve gotten MAJOR fights. My mom doesn’t approve of him and his son. She doesn’t want me to date someone with baggage and such a bad temper. Should I side with her or stay with him?

why do u want to be with someone that you got into major fights with, that has a child and that u dont get along with?
are you ready to become a mom to a step child, at the age of 19? I'm guessing not, since you even have to ask this. 
your mom is right to be against it.
what mom would be ok with her 19 year old dating a guy that fights with her all the time, major fighting and has a child on top of that? that child needs PEACE AND STABILITY,  not fights. regardless of the child living with u or not, it's not an good environment at all.
and u loving him ain't good enough of a reason to expose that child to fighting.  because it will happen,  if it has not already

Kids shouldn’t be a factor in my opinion. But his temper would concern me if there are red flags about his behavior when he does get upset & he isn’t trying to improve his temper either as times it could escalate for some people.
