Do cervical checks hurt?

I have my 36 week appoitment coming up and I have to get my cervix checked. Does this hurt?

It depends who’s doing it. I had one doctor come in while I was being watched for labor and it hurt I almost jumped off the table. Her hand came out covered in blood. I was in tears. 2 hours later a guy dr came in and he checked and it wasn’t even very uncomfortable. After that I wanted to hunt down the woman doctor and punch her in the face. She was so rough it was unnecessary.

I found it uncomfortable, but my cervix is way back and hard to reach. It was never excruciating.

Mine do because my stupid cervix is still high and in the back. Getting checked again tomorrow at 40 weeks, I better be close to having this baby!!

sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. A doctor's fingers are smaller than a penis, but they do have to push if you have a long vagina. Still it's nothing to worry about. No matter what the doctor says or if by chance you feel a bit pinched it's all with a grain of salt. Some women start dilating and just stop others don't and pop that baby out.

You don't have to get  it done. It doesn't do anything and is unnecessary if there's nothing wrong. It's not commercial n practice where I'm from (Aus)
