City Vs Sons: Who really owns the monument?

Re

This is a local thing going on about one of the monuments where I used to live. However the monument is only brought up as controversial when something terrible happens that makes national news. When anything racially controversial does happen there will instantly be 2-4 cop cars, and police, surrounding the fenced monument. To be fair the monument is surrounded by a lot of bars and restaurants and people can get a little rowdy so that’s usually the half way point for police to safely be posted to monitor the drunkenness.

I don’t want this to be a typical “to or to not remove the statues” debate cause I feel like that’s a constant topic. Instead who do you think the rightful owners to decide what should happen should be? Should the city be able to take over property they originally gave away? Should the current stonewall camp get to decide? Should this go up to state or a national court to make the final ruling? Here’s an article that was just posted on it!
