I’m going to try doing both if I can produce enough because I also want my SO to be able to feed little O when she gets here.

I pumped and gave a bottle of breastmilk.  For me, it was a pain because I was usually the one feeding the baby, so I would have to spend the extra time after each feeding to pump instead of just being with baby.  But I did do it for three months.

This is the first grandchild for my side and the like 10th for hubbys side. I plan to exclusively breastfeed for the first 6 months and pump for occasional feedings with daddy. Even tho my husband keeps joking that if I am asleep and he handles it he rather just pull my boob out.. haha hes crazy. I dont plan to cater to anyone but my husband and myself when it comes to feedings. Now if family want to hold her then sure but theres some things I rather her father and I do. I get why other women choose formula and not to breastfeed so not bashing but it should be about what you feel comfortable with and what you feel is best not about anything but you and baby and daddy. I say give it a try a few ways and find whats best for your little family. Sometimes baby latching on the breast is needed to stimulate lactation as well and so letting baby try boob might be good so your breasts know what they need to produce to feed your hungry little baby.
