Any psychiatrists out there to answer a few questions about your career?

I wanted to hear specially from psychiatrists,l because I am going into college soon and I would like to hear from those who are in the field. So, I had decided that I wanted to become a clinical psychologist because helping people with this mental illnesses is something I am passionate about, since it is something I struggle with.

But, I am considering psychiatry now. It makes more than twice the money of a clinical psychologist, which is important to me, but I’m not sure that I want to specialize in medicine, as frankly, it seems like a lot of work and a lot of memorization.

How hard is it, really/ Is it harder than learning to become a clinical psychologist? What would you say your average everyday routine at work is? Is it worth the extra money/hard work if counseling is essentially my main passion? Also, kind of random, is it possible for me to work with adults AND kids?
