So I've had the nexplanon implant for 2 years now and I have loved it so far! I haven't had any side effects to my knowledge, no weight gain, my period disappeared completely (I got on the implant because my periods were too heavy so this was a blessing), I have just loved it overall. But recently I've been super depressed, anxious, & stressed in a way that's unusual for me. I'm in therapy & adjusting other meds I'm on but I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced depression or mood swings or similar side effects with the nexplanon implant? I'm not sure if mine is because of the implant or not. It's hard for me to judge because when I got the implant my life was changing like crazy & I was going through a really hard time in general so I had assumed the depression & mood swings were because of life stuff but now I'm in a much better place & doing better overall & still experiencing a lot of depression & mood swings & now I'm wondering if a large portion of it is the implant. Thoughts? Wondering if I should get it out for a few months over the summer to see if it helps at all? Anyone else's stories or experiences would be very much appreciated!!
