only for sleeping.  when he wakes up, i ask him for it and he hands it over. im too chicken to try a nap without it.

Took his away at 6 months before object permanence. Easy breezy.

I first cut it during the day and it was strictly for nap and night time sleeping. Once that seemed normal to him we cut it at night, cold turkey and for about a week he fussed when we put him down, he wouldn’t fall asleep as fast, but when after about 10 or so minutes he would and he’d sleep the whole night without it. Lastly we cut It as nap time and this was so much easier since I think he realized at this point he could sleep without it! The only change I have noticed is he doesn’t sleep in as late in the morning without it lol good luck!

We took ours off of hers at 6 months and did it cold turkey. That way we didn’t have to deal with the hassle here and there with her wanting it or remembering it (like she would’ve at an older age). It sucked but after the first few nights, it turned into a breeze.

My son loved his bink till about 7 months after that he wanted nothing to do with it  We had it easy with him. Good luck!

My boy is 20 months. His best friend born on the same day still uses one. My son decided he didn’t want it a while ago.

Never used one.. she would suck like two times and spit out. Recently she found them and now she randomly has one for a few min and then forgets about it.
