Baby walking shoes

So my son is 9 months now and he’s pushing himself up and standing, and crawling. He’s getting to that age where he needs the hard bottom josmo walking shoes while looking online I did find the josmo brand to be a little on the expensive side but I did find that Payless had a similar version for just 14$ I text my mom and tell her about it and she tells me that they aren’t good , but never explained is there a reason anyone knows why they wouldn’t be good for my son
