only smart people wear recommended glasses?

hi, I need your advice on this. I have eye issues, mine has to do with light. can't see when the light is too bright. usually have headaches, and I have to squint my eyes to be able to see things properly. I usually catch myself looking at things through my side eyes. then, I went to the clinic, they recommend glasses for me. but my aunt thinks I just wanted to wear glasses and she won't get them for me. what do I do?

hope there would be no side effects later. I can't even walk in the sun! . Pls help.

So this afternoon, I reminded her that I have been struggling with my eyes. I am in my final year in the University so I am typing my research project. I. have to use system and my eyes hurts. Guess what she says, " those that have graduated that are more brilliant thank you are did not complain of eye problems and you are complaining" . I had to tell her that eye problems have nothing to do with your intelligence. Little kids of age 3-8 usually have eye problems.

And she didn't say anything.
