birth control questions

so my doctor put me on birth control for 3 months to start due to abnormal cramps possibly due to cyst. same kind I took in the past. this time it made me absolutely miserable. very very emotional. I went from woohoo to @%#&@#% at the drop of a hat. along with extreme nausea and breast ache

I only took a little over a month and skipped the placebos. I had what I'm assuming was breakthrough bleeding for like some and a half weeks mid pack. so I never got an official period. I have been off for about 4 weeks now and I haven't started my period yet. my doc charges for me to even ask questions so here I am...I was sexually active before I started the pill but had a period before I started taking it. so I dont think I'm preggers. anyone have any advice?
