Which one is better?

Medela or Spectrum S2? Trying to decide which one to order through my insurance. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! 😊

Spectra all the way! I had the Pump in Style with my first, and it did the job, but not a good job. It took 30 minutes to completely empty me, with the Spectra it takes 15 minutes tops (if I’m full.) I also produce a lot more this time and I’m doing nothing different than I did with my first. Good luck!🙂

I love the Spectra.  I used a Medela Symphony rented from the hospital for two months, and I prefer the Spectra over that one. One advantage of the closed system for Spectra is that I felt comfortable buying a used Spectra on Offer Up for $30, so that I can have a spare second pump at work - instead of moving one pump back and forth.

I use the spectra! It has really good suction ( closest available comparison to hospital grade pump) and it’s really easy to put together and take apart ( not too many pieces  so makes for easy cleaning)

I’ve heard closed systems are better and more hygienic than open systems like Medela. I’ve read a lot of reviews and closed system like Spectra are the best options!
