Not sure what my boyfriends children should call me?

My boyfriend has two sons (4 and 6) who live in a different state with their mother. Once they are out of school, they will come spend the summer with us. Generally I would have no problem with them calling me by my first name, but their mother and I have the same name. Anyone have ideas for cute nicknames they could use? (My name is Melanie by the way lol)

It shouldn’t matter if you guys have the same name because they call their mom “Mom” and not “Melanie”, right? You can always go with “Mel” or “Lanie” I suppose.

just let them call you by your name they obviously don't call their mom by her name so its not going to be confusing for them my bf son calls me by my name my kids don't even know my name 😂 everytime they are asked what is their mom name they reply MOM

I would have them call me by my name. Since they call their mom - mom, not Melanie
