Pregnant women & funerals?

Have you heard anything about not going to funerals when pregnant?

The only funeral I avoided when pregnant was for a stillborn baby and I felt my presence there would only make it harder on the parents. But if it’s an adult’s funeral I don’t see what being pregnant has to do with anything.

When my son died at 3 months old, 2 of my sister in laws were pregnant and came. It made it worse for me. I believe it depends on the situation.

Both of my husband’s grandparents have passed away while I’ve been pregnant and I’ve gone to both of their wakes and funerals.

It's a religious thing. My religion recommends against it unless it's someone very close to you.

I haven’t heard anything about it. I just went to my grandfather’s funeral at 30 weeks. I would imagine there are certain religious components to it or sometimes people could be superstitious but I think you have to base it on your individual situation

I lost my uncle when I was 7 months pregnant and I went. It was a hard thing to do, but theres nothing saying you shouldn't or cant go.

I went to my uncles funeral when I was 8 months pregnant and I went to another distant family relatives funeral this year when I was about 16 weeks pregnant

I had two funerals in the same week when I was around 20 weeks pregnant. Both close family members one from my side of the family and the other from my partners. I didn’t really have to go to his family’s one but I did to support him
