Terazol for a yeast infection. Class C drug?
I have a yeast infection and my doctor proscribed Terazol. It’s a cream that you insert into your vagina. It’s a little over 2x stronger than Monistat.
I am reading that it is a class C drug and absolutely shouldn’t be taken in the first trimester but is okay in the second and third. Still nervous. Wondering if I was proscribed something so strong to ensure it was cleared up fully before delivery.
I was on Diflucan for a yeast infection in the first trimester (at 6-7 weeks) and found out after the fact that it’s associated with birth defects. Gah! My baby is perfectly healthy, but I’m not sure if I should take the cream or not?
