Working it out

He cheated and we agreed to work it out which is my choice. Came together to form a plan on how we need to proceed. He wants us to work on fixing any issues within ourselves before coming together to fix our relationship. I though want him to prove he can be trusted by giving me access to his phone and he could do little things to really show he is sorry. He wants me to just "have faith". Plus his betrayal is why i blow up on him...i just want his actions to match his words. We aren't seeing eye to eye on that so it's like we're stuck in place at the moment. Am i being unfair and not giving him a real chance by expecting so much or are my feelings justified?

Not so simple to just leave him as we have an 8 month old together and he helps with my daughter from a previous relationship out of the kindness of his heart.
