Riding dick

So the first time i got on top of my partner it was weird. It was difficult to put it in and we gave up and did regular missionary position and everytime i wanna get on top we just don’t end up doing that position Bc i suck at it. it’s just so difficult for me to ride it and be on top because i just don’t know how, do i go up and down or move back and forth? we tried again but only for a couple seconds and it felt right for me and i liked it but i think he didn’t like it. I feel like i would hurt him and i just wanna make him feel good. Any advice or tips on how to do it?
