On may 23rd I went to L&D; with what I thought were contractions. (felt like steady period cramps)

I got there and they admitted me, and started the routine checks. My cervix weny from Closed at my back at 1am to 2 check later by 5am 1cm and 60% at 34 weeks. I just got home yesterday from being sent to an NICU hospital about an hour from my hospital of choice. They claimed im 1cm and my cervix is far back once again. (all good things, also had both shots for his lungs already as well.)

They said he is on my bladder head down and dropping. Now, my question is, has anyone else had experience with the baby being in this position and having a sharp back pain on your left side before you have to pee? Almost feels like a bad UTI pain, but i was check for uti yesterday before I left and I do not have one. This being my first baby and pregnancy I dont want to over look anything, but the NICU hospital also suggested to stay home as long as possible before I return to labor and delivery with questions or possible contractions. (The cervix checks were quite forceful at the hospital I arrived at before being transported to NICU hospital. They think the checks may have caused a lot of the labor coming on so early and quickly.)

Any relief suggestions or ideas as to if its dangerous or just due to him laying? I also had bad asthma this morning when I woke up at home, Have been laying on sides to help and using inhaler.
