Should i feel bad?

Question

My parents moved to Mississippi two years ago, they use to live 30 minutes away now they live over a days drive away. My mom keeps asking me to see if they will induce me in a specific day so they can plan being here but I don’t want to be induced. 
Feel like I should feel bad for telling her no. She even text me “remember to ask about induce date so parents can buy plane tickets” she says it like I already agreed to it. I text her back and said i really want them here but I don’t want to be induced, all I get back is “sweet!” WTF does sweet mean! 
Slightly bugged that they expect me to force my child into this world because they chose to move thousands of miles away from us. Who moves when none of their kids are married or have kids yet, you must know your going to miss so much!

I don’t think most hospitals allow elective inductions anymore anyway. If I were in this situation I would probably just tell them the doctor said no I can’t have an induction unless medically necessary so then they cant get mad at you over it.

Don’t feel bad at all. You shouldn’t induce your baby before they’re ready just to meet someone’s schedule/plans. Do what’s right for you and your family.

You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. It’s your body and your baby. Most doctors won’t induce unless medically necessary our you are going way past your edd, inducing is sometimes really hard on the body. It’s not your fault they moved away.

Yikes... tell her induction can be hard on mama and baby, chances of c section after a long, hard, painful labor are increased. I had a 21 hour induction fail and had a c section, we were both bruised and beat up from them pulling him back out of my pelvis and out my stomach, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. 
What she’s asking is selfish.

I personally don’t want anyone to come until the next day anyways - if that. This is your time, not theirs. They can come visit soon after if that’s what you want.

Shouldn't feel bad at all! A lot of my friends that complained of long hard labors were all induced. My first two I went into labor naturally & was only in the hospital for 3 hours before giving birth & only push 3 times with both. My daughter was 6.6 lbs & my son was 9 lbs. And I'm only 5 foot! I honestly believe it was because I was active during pregnancy & my body delivered naturally.

personally, if it were my child....I would plan a weeks vacation near your due date and just plan on driving then. like previous people said, that time in the hospital is about you and the babe. I'm sure they will have plenty of time to see y'all after you're home.

nope. I moved 13 hrs away from home once my husband got out of the army. My parents know when I'm due and they know that the baby will come on his own unless something happens. If I'm going to be induced,which is a possibility, I'll let them know the date asap but other than that they'll be on their way once I let them know I'm in labor.
