Big babies?

Just because I have the gestational diabetes everyone is saying my baby is going to be huge 😩 that’s not the case for everyone right ?! I mean I’ve been managing it with my diet exercise and insulin...

Not always true. I have it and they are delivering me at 36 weeks due to another complication but  that’s in 6 days and she’s only 4 pounds and 7 ounces right now

I have GD and at my appt last week baby boy was measuring at 4 lbs 8 ounces and in the 39% percentile. If you are doing what you’re suppose to which it sounds like you are, you will be fine. People like to talk out their butts like they know everything. You will be okay! 👍🏻

I had gestational diabetes with my first. So bad that I had to take meds which only helped a little. She was born at 37w3d weighed 5lbs8oz 19.5in
Not all are big as long as it’s controlled well they should be about Normal size.

I have GD which was diagnosed 3 weeks ago (now 34 weeks) and baby was at 3% percentile. I was told to eat more and exercise less and if my sugar levels went up they’d just give me insulin.. it’s a tough balance to keep sugar numbers low and at the same time to have baby grow quicker than normal. But after 2 weeks of high protein diet with supplements recommended by the doctor, now baby is in the 7th percentile :)

I had gd with my last child. Also managed with diet. They induced a few days early. He was 6.2lbs and perfectly healthy.

I don’t think it is the case for everyone. Every pregnancy is different. Probably if you didn’t modify your habits from the time you found out to current there could be a higher birth weight or complications.

I don’t have GD and we’re afraid I’m gonna have a big baby....but my husband was almost 9 pounds when he was born and he’s 6’4 while I was 5 pounds and I’m 5’1 lol
My son measured 3 lbs and 12 ounces at my 30 week appointment.

My doctor was afraid of that as well, last week he measured at 5.5lbs, she said he will be 8lbs
