I want a baby but my husband says he ISN’T READY!

I have been on birth control for 10 years to help with irregular/extreme bleeding. I would have a period for 9-10 days (extremely heavy bleeding the whole time) and then off for about a week and a half before starting again. I’m 24 years old and ready to start trying for a baby. My husband says he isn’t ready yet but I have an extreme fear of infertility due to my issues with periods and prolonged birth control use. Does anyone have experience TTC with these kinds of issues? Please help!!
