early scan ... what to expect?

I'm having an early scan this week at around 6 weeks due to some pain.  just wondering what to expect ... will I be able to see the heartbeat?  Also does anyone know what the risk of miscarriage if we see a heartbeat at this stage?

i saw mine luckily..on my app it was 6+3/dys but when my ob check it 5+6dys.only..good thing she saw a heartbeat..were so blessed❤❤❤

Agree with PP. you may see a heartbeat or may not. But you should see the fetal pole. I’m having mine next Monday at 6.3 weeks. I’m scared to death. Let us know how yours goes. By the way- what type of pain are you feeling and where is it located?

I’m pretty sure I saw the stats that once you see/hear a heartbeat your risk drops to 5%. Best of luck to you! 💕

You may or may not see the heartbeat at this stage. It depends how accurate your edd is. Also once you see a healthy heartbeat the risk goes down quite a bit.
