Clomid covered by insurance?

Is clomid or any of the other medications to induce ovulation covered by insurance? Anyone have an estimate of what it costs?

It depends on your insurance plan. Mine doesn’t cover any infertility treatments or medication. Clomid isn’t expensive though. It’s less than $15. Letrozole would have cost me $60 but with goodrx.com I got it for $18. Highly recommend goodrx for any prescriptions.

It depends on your insurance plan. I took letrozole/femara and paid .62$ cents for my first month. Im headed for an iui now and our insurance covers it in full not quite sure of the meds cost yet.

I just started Clomid and it’s not covered by my insurance. I use CVS. It was $18

Go to Costco!   CVS and Walgreens quoted me $60+.

Clomid ran me about $12 at Costco.    Femera was $9.

Ovidrel if you need it was $80-$95 through mail order.  For some reason it varies each month.

You can apply for a discount card on fertilitylifelines.com, they ask for a tax return and give you 25% 50% or 75% off drugs depending on your income. Freedom fertility has ovidrel for $107 with a $10 rebate or you can use that discount card which made it $79 for me. Also utilize goodrx.com for clomid. Otherwise pharmacies over charge.

My doctor told me yesterday that each cycle of femara is $500 which includes all the ultrasounds to track the cycle and a trigger shot. She didn’t mention using the pills without the visits? Does anyone have experience with this?
