How long to wait for swimming?

Ok let’s say best case scenario that when I give birth tomorrow I have no/very little tearing and things go smoothly. How long would / should I wait before I go swimming? I was thinking around 3 weeks? Is that long enough?

Well it all depends on the bleeding. And you probably shouldn’t use tampons until you get the all clear from your physician so it depends on when you’re postpartum visit is.

I know this is different but I think I'm helping in away because its the same area. After my d&c; following my MC I was told 4-6weeks to avoid infection. Ask the doctor honey they will tell you for sure x

Not before six weeks and not before you stop all bleeding or spotting. You can't wear a tampon or menstrual cup.

I was still pp bleeding at 6 weeks. It was very light but still wouldn’t get into a public pool. I would wait the 6 weeks to make sure you’re all the way healed because you do have an open sore on the inside from the placenta coming out and I would not want some funky infection to get into that. 😬
