I’m 41, my partner 32. He really wanted to wait to have children so we didn’t start trying until I was 39. We suffered two miscarriages, one at 7 weeks and another at 19 weeks. Both due to chromosomes. We had testing and neither us has balanced translocation. We decided to try IVF in the hope of producing normal blasts. I had my first retrieval a few weeks ago. 5 follicles, 4 eggs, all 4 fertilized and 2 made it blast. I was noticed today that both blasts are abnormal. 47 XX, +22 this one had an extra chromosome 22

46XY, +17 -19 this one had an extra 17 and missing 19. Has anyone had a similar outcome and gone to have a successful cycle? I think our only route will be donor. I would have preferred to use my own eggs obviously. I’m open to donor - it just seems odd. I can’t pinpoint what about it seems odd. Giving birth to a child that is not genetically mine just feels odd to me.
