How many ounces?

Ok ladies, my daughter is a month old and ebf. I just started pumping to try to build up a safety net supply for certain trips out this summer. Since she’s bf, I don’t actually know how many ounces she’s consuming per feeding, so I’m not sure how many ounces of milk to store in each bag. I was thinking 3-4. Suggestions?

Just keep in mind, often babies will drink more when being bottle fed then they would at the breast. With breastfeeding there’s a letdown and usually a slow then a letdown etc. obviously a bottle is steady so they have no choice but to drink it if they’re sucking. Kellymom.com has a great section on tips for this (and NO it’s not likely it’s your supply not keeping up!!).

I froze in 4 ounce increments for my 1-2 month old. Now that he’s eating a little more I’m going to start freezing in 5 or 6 ounce increments.

I read that babies drink about 24 oz in a day. So divide that by how many times they feed in a day and that’s how many ounces they get each feed.
