Vbac or section? Experiences plz

I am looking to try and conceive again next October (after being a bridesmaid for my besties wedding) I had an emergency c section for pre eclampsia/failed induction .. although it wasn’t as emergency as you think I just didn’t progress me and baby were fine but baby just wasn’t coming and waters had been broken for over 48 hours. Doc said my surgery went very well and I lost less than average amount of blood and recovery was fine aswell so they said I’m a perfect candidate for a vbac. While I would love to try a vbac I’m scared of going through all that again I have bad anxiety and I was terrified of the hospital and everything that happened the 5 days I was in there so the thought of going through that again terrifies me but so does another section.. after speaking to a midwife friend she said I should probably opt for another section as it’s safer. My fear is a uterus rupture or hemmoraging or baby getting stuck anyway and having to rush to theatre but then I’ve been told vbac is safer? Help what’s your experiences and advice?
