My baby boy was born at 34 weeks due to pprom. He's doing well and came home after an 11 day NICU stay, but of course a part of me will always wish I carried him longer and, in turn, that my belly had gotten bigger. I allowed myself to mourn my third trimester, but now that we're home together I am looking forward. I am obviously not cleared for exercise yet - all I've been doing is taking him on walks around the block and pumping like crazy (being a preemie, breastfeeding is hard for him). Somehow, even after 5 weeks of hospital bed rest before he arrived, I am only 10 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight. Here's to the next step in the journey!
