Parents: Would you use hot sauce as a punishment?

I’ve been sick recently & have spent more time watching the show “What Would You Do?” on YouTube than I’d like to admit.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, it’s basically a giant social experiment. Actors are hired to play controversial roles in public places to see how strangers react & if they jump in to help.

In one episode, they were testing people to see if they would stop a mother from putting hot sauce on her sons tongue for “bad mouthing” her. Every single person who they ‘tested’ stopped the mother (who is an actor, as well as the son).

Do you think hot saucing is a proper form of punishment?
