We are planning the wedding and deciding who to have stand up in our wedding. So far all we have is the siblings on each side. My fiancé chose his best friend to also stand up besides his siblings.

My best friend happens to be a gay male. I tell him everything, he’s like a brother to me. I want him to stand up on my side. My fiancé is okay with him standing on my side, but thinks it might look strange. We are already going to have a strange looking wedding party as my family is very tall and his family is on the shorter side.

My side would be: My sister being the maid of honor, then my fiancé’s sister, then my gay friend. Would you have a male bridesmaid?
